This is designed to only alert the doctor that you need to talk to him/her on the phone. Please do not write any other information (including any medical / health concerns). We will not be able to attend to messages submitted in the wrong format.

Content

Sending a text message is the easiest method. We would like you to please use this method when you feel like you need to talk to your doctor on the phone about something like:

• a prescription refill which you use to be on for a long time (for example oral contraceptive pill, etc.).
• a follow-up on a condition that is being monitored (follow on the blood pressure or blood test results or other test results or recent changes in medications etc.).
• you need a telephone consultation regarding your non-urgent medical concern when you are not sure what the best course of action is and the office is closed or there is a weekend.

We specifically designed this tool as we would like to be available to you as much as we can and would like our patients to direct their concerns to us rather than see a clinic doctor who does not have a complete medical information about your health, last laboratory tests / diagnostic imaging results, etc.

Once we receive your text message, the doctor will do his/her best to attend to it either on the same day or the following day. For confidentiality the doctor will call you on your telephone number that is listed in our medical record under your name (it might not necessary be the number that you used to text).
